Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A business forum was held in Ferghana with the participation of representatives from the Ferghana region and the South Korean metropolitan city of Ulsan.

The event brought together Khayrullo Bozorov, khokim of Ferghana region, Kim Doo-Gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan, as well as officials and business representatives from both regions.

In his opening remarks, Governor Bozorov emphasized that the main goal of the forum was to present Ferghana’s investment potential to Korean entrepreneurs and to establish direct business links. He gave a detailed overview of the major projects currently being implemented in the region, including an initiative to create a specialized training center for skilled workers aimed at supporting Ulsan's labor market.

"Today marks the beginning of cooperation between our regional chambers of commerce and industry. I am confident that this will lead to tangible outcomes. We are already working with South Korean partners on major projects in various sectors in Ferghana," Bozorov stated.

In response, Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-Gyeom highlighted the importance of strengthening friendly and brotherly ties between the two regions and noted the vast opportunities for developing mutually beneficial cooperation.

The forum featured video presentations showcasing the economic and investment potential of both Ferghana and Ulsan.

In addition, B2B meetings were organized between entrepreneurs from the two cities. A number of agreements and commercial contracts are expected to be signed as a result of the negotiations.
