A goalless draw with arch-rivals Pakhtakor took defending champions Bunyodkor a point away from retaining the Uzbekistan League crown on Wednesday.
Luiz Felipe Scolari’s charges are on 71 points after 25 games in the 16-team standings while chasers Pakhtakor are 17 points adrift.
Bunyodkor now need just a draw from their match against Mashal on October 18 to claim the title.
In other matches, Navbahor held Kyzylkum 1-1 and Bukhara beat Khorezm 3-0.
