During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of bilateral cooperation. It was underlined that Uzbekistan and Brazil have significant potential for expanding mutual beneficial cooperation in politics, economic, scientific-technology, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The sides pay important attention to developing trade and investment cooperation. It was said that the sides should foster joint efforts directed at using potential of the sides, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
It was underlined that Uzbekistan and Brazil have close positions on majority of international problems, such as fighting terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, spread of weapons of mass destruction, creating nuclear free zones, development issues, and others. Brazil highly rates activities of Uzbekistan directed at ensuring regional security in the Central Asian region.
The sides also discussed actual aspects of the Uzbek-Brazil interaction in regional and international level.
