Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Consul General of Uzbekistan, Zafar Akhmedov, met with the First Deputy Mayor of Osh, Kyrgyzstan, Mars Isaev, Dunyo news agency reported.
The negotiations also involved the head of the mayor’s office, Azat Kubatbek, the head of the investment, foreign relations, and analysis department, Mirlan Israilov, and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in the southern regions, Venera Saifutdinova.
The sides discussed cooperation between the cities of Osh and Andijan, highlighting the interest in further developing this cooperation and jointly working on several projects in the fields of digitalization, public services, tourism, and recreation.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached to organize a visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation from the Osh mayor’s office and to establish a mechanism for exchanging statistical information between the regions.
