In the final round qualifying, top seed in the qualifying draw Bopanna outplayed Michael Kohlmann of Germany 6-3, 6-7(7-3),6-3 in a 2hour 15 tussle , while Ryan Young of USA accounted for fancied third seeded Kazakhstan’s Alexey Kedriouk 7-6(8-6),3-6,6-3 in a 2 hr 29 minute tussle.

Oliver Marach of Austria easily rallied past Ryan Young of USA 6-2 , 6-4, while Noam Okun did not have to put much effort registering a 6-2, 6-0 lopsided win against fourth seeded Danila Arsnov of Russia .

In the opening rounds of the Main draw played in the afternoon session all German players moved easily into the second round.

Daniel Brands scraped past Alexander Kudryavtsev of Russia 6-4,6-7(7-3),6-4 ,third seeded and 84th ranked Denis Gremelmayr had to use all his experience to defeat local Wildcard entrant Murad Inoyatov 7-6(7-5),6-2.

In the third match 105 ranked fourth seeded and fourth seed Michael Berrer won against Laurent Recouderc of France 7-6 (7-3), 6-0
