JICA said that the size of the grant is US$400,000. The grant will be directed at improving voice-recording and video tape editing equipment, as well as lighting equipment and communication system.
JICA said such campaign will serve as strong stimulus for inter-cultural dialogue, expanding international creative relations, strengthening mutual cultural-spiritual cooperation, etc.
State Academic Bolshoi Theatre named after Alisher Navoi has been closely cooperating with the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan. The sides started cooperation in 1996 and Japan presented modern lighting and radiotechnical equipment.
The theatre has been fruitfully cooperating with Tayota City Ball Company for last ten years and they played joint balls.
