Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Organizational committee of the Annual National Software Exhibition BestSoft - Uzbekistan 2010 announced a competition of software products, presented at the exhibition in 2010.

The competition is held to reveal the best in the software industry of Uzbekistan. Within a month, the organizers of the competition will review all application and announce the winners at the exhibition, which will take place in Tashkent on 19-20 May.

The competition will be held in such nominations as “Software of the Year”, “The Best Introduced Project in 2009”, “The Best company in IT education”, “The Best Innovative company”, and “The Best Student Work”.

Goals and tasks of the competition are:

• Popularizing and stimulating development of modern information communication technologies and creating competitive software products and system of re-training and training of IT specialists in Uzbekistan;
• Revealing, encouraging, and promoting perspective software in the market;
• Assistanting. and support of national software producers and attracting attention of mass media to them.

The competition is organized by the Uzbekistan IT-enterprises Association and UNDP’s project “Assisting the Government of Uzbekistan in the formulation and implementation of ICT for development policy”. The Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information supports the event.

Companies, participating at the BestSoft - Uzbekistan 2010, can participate at the competition with their software, developed in Uzbekistan, the organizers said.
