Beeline’s revenue in Uzbekistan grows by 8% in 2Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan made up 442 billion soums in the second quarter of 2015, which grew by 8% compared to the same period of 2014, Vimpelcom Ltd said in its statement.

In the same time, the company’s revenue in US dollars made up US$175 million in the second quarter against US$179 million in the same period of 2014 (-2.24%).

In the first half of 2015, the operator received 851 billion soums of revenue, which grew by 10% year-on-year. In US dollars, the figure remained at the level of US$342 million.

According to the company, the revenue in mobile communication segment rose by 9% year-on-year in April-June 2015 and reached 439 billion soums. Revenue in fixed-communication segment exceeded 3 billion soums in the second quarter of 2015, which fell by 12% year-on-year.

Revenue from data transfer service reached US$33.8 million in the second quarter of 2015, increasing by 7.98% compared to the same period of 2014. In the soum equivalent, the figure rose from 71.7 billion soums in the second quarter of 2014 to 85.3 billion soums in the same period of 2015.

EBITDA (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan made up US$113 million in the second quarter of 2015 (284 billion soums) against US$105 million in April-June 2015 (262 billion soums). At the same time margin of transactions fell by 0.1 percentage points to 64.3%.

Beeline subscriber base in Uzbekistan by the end of the second quarter of 2015 made up 10.3 million people, which decreased by 100,000 subscribers year-on-year (-2).

Average bill for a mobile subscriber per month (ARPU) made up $5.6 in the second quarter of 2015 as in the second quarter of 2014. Indicator MOU (minutes of use) reached 553 minutes in April-June 2015 comparison with 531 in the second quarter of 2014.
