Corrected EBITDA (earnings before interest and tax) in Uzbekistan grew by 42% year-on-year from US$20 million to US$28 million. EBITDA margin rose from 38.9% in the second quarter of 2010 to 42.9% in the same period of 2011.

Number of mobile communication subscribers of Beeline in Uzbekistan made up 5.347 million. The growth of subscribers made up 245,000 or 5% in April-June. The annual growth made up 34% from 3.997 million people.

ARPU (Monthly Average Revenue per User) grew by 5% compared to the first quarter of 2011 to US$4 in the reporting period.

MOU (Monthly Average Minutes of Use per User) made up 413 minutes in the second quarter of 2011 (+5.7%) against 390.7 minutes in the first quarter of 2011.

VimpelCom owns Unitel LLC and Buzton JV LLC in Uzbekistan. Unitel LLC renders mobile communication services under Beeline brand in Uzbekistan, while Buzton JV LLC offers fixed communication and Internet service.
