Beeline’s net operational revenue grows by 35% in 2Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Net operational revenue of VimpelCom in Uzbekistan grew by 35% year-on-year to US$89 million in the second quarter of 2012 (from US$66 million) due to growth of revenue from mobile data transfer system.

EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan grew by 61% year-on-year from US$28 million to US$45 million in the second quarter of 2012. EBITDA margin rose by 7.7 percentage points to 50.6% in the reporting period.

Number of mobile communication subscribers of Beeline in Uzbekistan reached 7.031 million at the end of the second quarter of 2012, which grew by 31% year-on-year. Number of mobile internet users rose by 53%, the company said.

The volume of capital investments exceeded US$36 million in the second quarter of 2012, the Russian Vimpelcom said.

ARPU (Monthly Average Revenue per User) made up US$4 in the second quarter of 2012 as in the same period of 2011.

MOU (Monthly Average Minutes of Use per User) grew by 15% from 376 minutes in January-March to 433 minutes in the second quarter of 2012.
