Beeline Uzbekistan is actively expanding its network across the country

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beeline Uzbekistan, one of the largest taxpayers in the country, continues to develop and update its network in order to improve communication quality and extend 4G/LTE network coverage throughout Uzbekistan. The digital operator represents the interests of VEON Group, a major international provider of communication and internet services.

This summer has been especially hot for Beeline Uzbekistan, with the digital operator launching 1300 base stations around the country. The Fergana Valley's communication quality has increased in 31 districts, as well as 10 districts in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and five districts in the Khorezm region. As a result, not only has communication quality increased, but the network coverage area has been significantly expanded.

"Our year 2023 objective is to reach our 4G coverage to 85%, from 78% we had in 2022, therefore we are continuing to build out our 4G network." According to Mahmudjon Nodirov, Technical Director of Beeline Uzbekistan, "We want all of our customers to have access to high-speed mobile internet, and we're working hard to make contemporary digital technologies and dependable communication available even in the most remote parts of the country."

For example, mobile communication has appeared for the first time in two hard-to-reach Fergana Valley villages: Tinchlik and Yangiobod in the Kushtepa district. Residents in the area now have access to high-speed 4G internet. Furthermore, the village of Zhana-Kala in the Republic of Karakalpakstan's Shumanai district now has communication coverage. This remote settlement on the Turkmenistan border has a population of only 390 people.

"We used to have issues with internet connectivity in our neighborhood. The internet had severe slowdowns, and file downloads took a long time. Now there's a 4G Beeline base station not far from us, and the voice connection is excellent. Also, the mobile internet connection is reliable and strong. We are grateful to the Beeline Uzbekistan staff for this," said Muhammedmyrat Muradov, a resident of the Shumanai district's Akzhap settlement.

Four cities and eight districts in the Bukhara and Navoi regions have also undergone modernization. The upgrade of previously installed base stations and the expansion of 4G coverage areas, as it was done in the Karakul and Alat districts, in populated areas where only 2G and 3G networks were previously available. In three districts of the Bukhara region, the 4G network's capacity has also been expanded. This means that the network can now serve more users and send more data at the same time.

The Navoi Region's network has also been modernized. For example, a new base station has enlarged the coverage area for both voice communication and high-speed internet in the city of Zarafshan.

Additionally, this summer, the digital operator provided LTE network to the 2.5 thousand-person Saroy Khatirchi district and the 280-person isolated and difficult-to-reach village of Porlok the Kanimekh district in the Navoi Region.

"Communication in our village was of seriously low quality. Beeline Uzbekistan began building a base station in late 2022, and shortly after, in August 2023, a 4G network was launched. For us, the people living in Porlok village, this turned into a holiday gift from Beeline Uzbekistan! I thank the company's staff and management on behalf of our entire community," said Porlok village resident Berik Khudzhanazarov.

The installation and upgrade of base stations in southern Uzbekistan were preceded by the improvement of the transport network. Second- and third-generation equipment was accelerated to 4G speeds in two cities, Jarkurgan and Termez, as well as eleven districts in the Surkhandarya Region.

As a result of the completed work, fourth-generation mobile internet is now available in various Surkhandarya communities and popular recreational places for the first time. It is now available to the guests of the mountain resort "Khuzhaipok" as well as the camps "Vakhshivar," "Vakhshivar-1," and "Vakhshivar-2" in the Altynsay district.

"The key is to improve the quality of our network's functionality and communication services in order to meet the needs of every customer. 4G internet is quickly becoming a crucial source of information and a reliable communication channel. The company is constantly working on intensive network construction and modernization to provide access to the latest mobile technologies, government, and fintech services to all of our users, regardless of their location within the country, which is an important task in the context of Uzbekistan's digitalization," stated Andrzej Malinowski, CEO of Beeline Uzbekistan.

The network modernization project, which is being carried out for the benefit of citizens and visitors across the country, intends to increase the capacity of the LTE network and give coverage to additional settlements, including rural and sparsely populated villages. The work is continuing unabated throughout Uzbekistan.

A detailed list of addresses where new base stations are installed is available on the company's website.
