Beeline provides bonuses to iPhone owners, who suffered from automatic update on 22-25 May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Largest communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) provides bonus internet packages to the holders of iPhone 5S, who complained to the call-center of the operator on wrong writing off of traffic because of the automatic software update on 22-25 May.

Head of marketing department of Unitel Khilola Karimbaeva said the operator last week discovered that its subscribers used large number of internet traffic without knowing it. The unauthorized download was connected with software update of iPhone and this caused problem not only to subscribers of Beeline.

She said that Beeline was not reason behind the problem, the operator decided to provide 300 Mb of internet to subscribers, who faced such problem and complaint to the call-center of Beeline.

Over the past few days, the customer service Beeline received several hundred complaints about one-time spending traffic in the period from 22 to 25 May. All these subscribers after confirmation of cancellation will be credited by Internet packages.

“We are currently consulting with colleagues from Apple to understand how to avoid such occurrences in the future”, — chief communications officer of Unitel Oraz Abdurazakov said. “In fact, we are talking about a form of auto-update, which for the avoidance of such incidents is better to prohibit in smartphone’s settings. We appreciate our clients and taking into account the uniqueness of the situation, the company decided to meet subscribers’ demands. I hope this will help to settle down this incident.”
