Beeline launches 4G network in Uzbekistan in test mode
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Single communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) launched fourth generation mobile network in test mode, which operates on LTE protocol LTE (Long Term Evolution). China’s Huawei Technologies Co., LTD. supplied equipment for 4G network of Beeline.

Andrei Safronyuk, Unitel Director-General, said telecom market in Uzbekistan is developing faster than some other states and launch of LTE network is another evidence for this. Global family of VimpelCom has experience of 4G network launch and the company plans to use it and enrich it.

LTE technology is main direction of evolution of 3G network. Currently, 4G network can ensure speed of mobile broadband internet between 20-80 Mbps, while maximum speed is about 100 Mbps.

Director of Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent Wan Ifan said that Huawei and Beeline are cooperating for a long time and the sides cooperated in development of 2G and 3G, which provide reliable and quality communication for citizens of Uzbekistan.

He said that Huawei is proud to supply LTE equipment for Beeline and its launch will allow Beeline subscribers to use Internet in high speed.

Beeline’s 4G network today covers central districts of Tashkent city and it is planning to expand to Tashkent, and further in all territory of Uzbekistan.

Beeline became the third GSM operator of Uzbekistan, which launched LTE network in center of Tashkent city. Earlier, MTS Uzbekistan and Ucell launched 4G network in the center of the Uzbek capital.
