VimpelCom (trademark Beeline in Uzbekistan), TeliaSonera (trademark Ucell in Uzbekistan), and Mobile TeleSystems (trademark UMS in Uzbekistan) published their financial data for 2014.

According to VimpelCom, subscriber base of Beeline in Uzbekistan made up 10.6 million people in 2014, while revenue is US$718 million last year.

Net revenue of mobile operator of Ucell in 2014 reached 436.159 million. Number of subscribers exceeded 8.574 million people.

Mobile operator Universal Mobile Systems (UMS), which started to provide services in Uzbekistan in December, attracted 188,100 subscribers. The revenue made up US$1.9 million in December 2014.

This means that Beeline kept its leadership in the communication market in Uzbekistan on number of subscribers and revenue.

There are also two CDMA operators in Uzbekistan – Uzmobile (subsidiary of Uzbektelecom) and PerfectumMobile (Rubicon Wireless Communication). They do not disclose data on number of subscribers and revenue.

However, Uzmobile representatives reported in February of 2015 that the subscriber base of the operator was about 500,000 subscribers in 2014.

Uzmobile will launch GSM networks in Tashkent region and Tashkent city. The operator plans to launch GSM network across Uzbekistan in 2016-2017 and will continue to develop its CDMA-450 EV-DO network.
