Beeline does not plan to cut investments to network development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Unitel, a subsidiary of Vimpelcom Ltd in Uzbekistan (Beeline trademark), is planning to continue work on developing network and focus on expanding coverage zone, director-general of Unitel Alexander Vorobyev said.

Vorobyev recalled that the capital expenses of Beeline in Uzbekistan (investment expenses to purchase fixed funds, equipment and technology) made up US$227 million.

He underlined that the operator commissioned 900 basic stations across Uzbekistan in 2013, which helped to expand capacity of network and improve quality of services.

Unitel chief said that the company will continue to develop network and focus on expanding its coverage zone in 2014.

He said that the company is not planning to decrease the volume of investments despite third player will appear in the market. He said that the company will review the investment programme, but plans to increase investments.

Alexander Vorobyev said that additional investments will be directed in Tashkent city and Tashkent region. He said that the operator will continue earlier approved programme, which envisages development of network in the region.
