Beeline directs US$35m to development of its network in 1H
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of Beeline subscribers in Uzbekistan reached 10.202 million people in the end of the second quarter of 2013, which grew by 45% year-on-year. The company’s capital expenses reached US$35 million in three months, ending on 30 June 2013.

On 7 August 2013, one of the largest international telecommunication services provider Vimpelcom Ltd (Beeline trademark) announced financial and operational results for the second quarter of 2013.

Net operational revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan increased by 6.4% in three months and reached US$167 million. The growth of revenue made up almost 88% year-on-year (from US$89 million).

EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan rose by 140% year-on-year – from US$45 million to US$108 million. EBITDA margin rose by 14.1 percentage points.

Number of Beeline subscribers in Uzbekistan reached 10.202 million people at the end of 2013. The growth rate made up 45% or 3.171 million people.

ARPU (Monthly Average Revenue per User) grew by US$0.3 in April-June 2013. MOU (Monthly Average Minutes of Use per User) grew from 425 minutes in the second quarter of 2012 to 472 minutes in the second quarter of 2013.

Director-general of Unitel LLC Andrei Safronyuk said that the company improved quality of services via installing additional equipment and expanding communication channels. He added that the company will continue its work on installation and launch of new basic stations across Uzbekistan.
