Beeline completes construction of FTTB network in Uchkuduk
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Single communication operator Beeline (Unitel LLC and Buzton JV) completed construction of the FTTB (Fiber To The Building) network in Uchkuduk city of Navoi region.

Buzton director-general Ivan Smolentsev said on Thursday that the company completed FTTB network and now it is tested now.

Ivan Smolentsev added that the company is planning to launch network for commercial use in Uchkuduk at the end of April.

This will be the second FTTB network of Beeline in Uzbekistan. The company commissioned FTTB network in Zarafshan (navoi region) in summer 2010.

Earlier, the company reported that it is planning to build similar networks in Bukhara and Navoi cities. FTTB allows to access Internet via optic fiber network at the speed of 100 megabit per second.
