Beeline commissions commercial 3G network in Kyrgyz Republic
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sky Mobile, Beeline trade mark, will launch commercial 3G network in Kyrgyzstan from 1 December 2010.

Beeline became the first operator in Kyrgyz Republic, which launched 3G network. Currently, UMTS-network was launched in Bishkek and covers central districts of the city, main micro districts and trade centers. The operator plans to build 3G network in all regions of the country.

Vimpelcom’s Vice-President on development of CIS business Dmitriy Kromsiy said: “Accrued experience allows us to launch new technologies in all countries of our presence in short period. Kyrgyz Republis is the second country, where Beeline’s 3G network operates and the first built with HSPA+ technology. Development of data transfer service is one of priorities of the company and we try to ensure Beeline subscribers in all countries with convenient and fast access to all Internet services.”

Key advantages of 3G network is opportunity of high-speed access to Internet. Majority of terminals in market will allow to achieve speed at 7.2 Mbps. The users can also access Video Call service with 3G network.

Sky Mobile director-general Roman Golovnev said introduction of 3G in Kyrgyzstan will serve as impulse for new stage of telecommunication industry development in Kyrgyzstan. “We are happy that we received honour to launch first 3G network. Beeline intends to provide modern quality services such as voice and data transfer.”

Transfer from 2G to 3G networks is carried out automatically if manual settings were not set and mobile handsets support UMTS standards.
