It was organized by Austrian Association Competizione dell’Opera, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan, Uzbekteatr and State Academic Bolshoi Theatre named after Alisher Navoi.

Young opera singers from Europe, Russia, South America, Australia and Asia, who passed preliminary casting, participated in the contest.

Pavel Petrov of Belarus was the second, while Mariya Bayankina of Russia and Jabrail Idrisov of Uzbekistan shared third place.

Competizione dell’ Opera will end with a gala concert, which will be held at International Forums Palace “Uzbekistan” on 29 November.
