Uzbek leader Islam Karimov announced this at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, which is marked on 8 December. The event was held at Uzbekistan International Forums Palace.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov said: “This year we continued work on supporting families. Some 2,500 young families received mortgage and consumer loans for 107.6 billion soums from commercial banks to solve habitation problems and house repair works.”
He said that regional administrations issued over 5.8 billion soums of attracted sponsor resources for reconstruction of freed inhabited houses and purchase own houses. Over 7,200 young families received cattle for free and some 5.3 billion soums were issued for this purpose, he added.
Uzbek president said that some 8 trillion soums were spent to implementation of the State Programme “The Year of Harmonically Developed Generation”.
