The regulator said some 1.8 trillion soums of them were issued to finance projects on production of food and industrial goods.

The Central Bank said that the volume of microfinance services made up 956 billion soums to development of small and individual businesses, about 451 billion soums were allocated to businesswomen.

In the result, some 1,000 women launched their business and many private entrepreneurship structures in agriculture were created in the country.

Commercial banks also financed business initiatives of youth. As of 1 December 2012, the financial institutions issued 45 billion soums to their business projects, which is twice more year-on-year.

In 11 months of 2012, the Uzbek banks issued 320 billion soums of consumer loans to finance purchase of modern home appliances.

At the same time, the commercial banks allocated 278 billion soums to construction of 100 houses, which consists of 48 flats each.

It is worth to mention that 2,400 flats were launched in 2012 and the same number of flats will be constructed in 2013. Young families received mortgage loans for 210 billion soums, the Central Bank said.

At the same time, commercial banks of Uzbekistan issued 71 billion soums of consumer loans to young families, which were used to purchase locally made home appliances.
