Banks allot 81bn soums of soft credits to businesses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Commercial banks of Uzbekistan allocated soft loans for 81 billion soums to fill turnover funds of the Uzbek exporters in the first half of 2009.

The exporters received 21 billion soums as reimbursement of value added tax. Debts on payments to budget and off-budget funds, as well as utility services of the exporters for over 56 billion soums were written off.

The bank restructured debts and fines on credits for 54.5 billion soums, US$65 million and 8 million euros.
