Bank Ipak Yuli carries out transactions for 30.43bn soums with plastic cards

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Joint-stock innovation commercial bank Ipak Yuli (Bank Ipak Yuli) issued 37,959 soum plastic cards as of 1 July 2009, of which 31,525 plastic cards within salary project.

Bank Ipak Yuli installed 787 terminals on accepting plastic cards at trade and service points, the bank said.

Transactions with plastic cards rose from 8.29 billion soums in the first half of 2008 to 30.43 billion soums in the same period of 2009.

The bank also issues Visa cards. Bank Ipak Yuli carried out transactions for US$11.19 million with Visa plastic cards in January-June 2009 against US$1.23 million in six months of 2008.
