Ballet "Lazgi. Dance of Soul and Love" to be performed in Almaty
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 March, the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Abay will host the performance of Lazgi. Dance of Soul and Love—a production that has won acclaim from audiences worldwide.
The Khorezmian Lazgi dance, embodying sincerity of emotions and vibrant energy, has been inscribed on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
An international team of specialists worked on the production. The music was composed by Davidson Jaconello, while the breathtaking stage designs and animation effects were created by renowned Japanese multimedia artist Yoko Seyama.
The libretto and choreography were crafted by Raoul Raimondo Rebeck, a renowned German dancer, ballet master of Dortmund Ballet, and artistic director of NRW Junior Ballet. He is a recipient of prestigious international awards, including the Prix de Lausanne.
