Ballet “Lazgi – Dance of Soul and Love” on the stage of the China National Opera Theater

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A bright premiere of the famous ballet performance “Lazgi - Dance of Soul and Love” took place in Beijing.

The spectacular production was presented on the stage of the Chinese National Opera Theater with the support of the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan.

The performance in Beijing was presented as part of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in the People’s Republic of China.

Over three years of touring, the ballet was able to win the hearts of audiences in Dubai, Istanbul, Bursa, Dortmund, Moscow, Paris and St. Petersburg. This success is explained by the incredibly sensual narrative of the ancient dance of Lazgi, performed by the National Ballet of Uzbekistan under the direction of the magnificent choreographer Raimondo Rebek.

Woven over thousands of years on the land of Khorezm, lazgi became the keeper of ancient wisdom about the endless possibilities of national creativity. The Lazgi dance is a moment when every movement, every whirlwind, every fiery step becomes a symbol of respect for ancestors, the rich history and endless beauty of Uzbek culture.

The stunning choreography of Raimondo Rebeca, combining traditional ancient dance with elements of classical ballet, presented the audience with all the luxury of the East and the magic of the Great Silk Road. The combination of color and sensuality, tradition and modernity, fiery energy and deep symbolism has already become a sensation in the world of choreography. The charm of the unique dance and the mesmerizing sound of folk musical instruments, the incredible lighting score and the latest stage technologies, as well as, of course, the brilliant performance of the National Ballet of Uzbekistan troupe did not leave anyone indifferent.
