Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Finland, Elina Valtonen.
During the meeting, issues related to the development of trade and economic relations, attracting Finnish investments to Uzbekistan, and cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture were discussed.
The ministers expressed confidence that the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland would contribute to economic growth and strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
The parties also discussed the situation in Central Asia, as well as current issues of international security, reaffirming their commitment to the peaceful resolution of conflicts, respect for international law, and the principles of multilateral cooperation.
"We are pleased to note the growing cooperation in various areas, including the attraction of Finland’s advanced experience in education to Uzbekistan," wrote the Foreign Minister in his Telegram channel.
