Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese company Baibuting Group Co., Ltd. plans to implement a project for the development of “green” energy in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent region.
The press service of Tashkent regional khokimiyat reports that US$1.8 billion will be allocated for the implementation of the project.
Baibuting Group intends to build a power plant that will generate energy using solar, wind and hydro resources.
At the first stage, it is planned to invest up to US$200 million in the project, and the design capacity of the power plant will be 2 GW.
As part of the visit of the delegation of Tashkent region led by khokim Zoir Mirzaev to Wuhan, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Tashkent region and the Baibuting Group.
