Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Olympic champions Bahodir Jalolov and Hasanboy Dusmatov have been prematurely promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel.
The ceremony, conducted by the head of the National Guard, Rustam Juraev, honored the athletes for their achievements.
The event was dedicated to recognizing a group of military personnel, coaches, and staff who participated in the Paris Olympics. Attendees included officials, National Guard command, representatives from hand-to-hand combat and archery federations, the director of the School of Equestrian Mastery, athletes, their families, and children from Mercy House No. 22.
Bahodir Jalolov from the Tashkent National Guard Department and Hasanboy Dusmatov from the Andijan Regional National Guard Department were awarded the Order for Outstanding Achievements and received valuable gifts.
The Order of "Dedicated Employee of the National Guard" was also presented to Uzbekistan’s boxing national team head coach Tolkin Kılıçev, women’s boxing national team head coach Rahmatjon Roziokhunov, and Colonel Elshod Rasulov, senior lecturer at the National Guard Specialized Training Center.
Additionally, wristwatches from the National Guard were given to Bahodir Jalolov’s mother, Sabahat Jalolova, and Hasanboy Dusmatov’s parents, Dilnozahan and Marufjon Khaitboev.
Cash prizes were awarded to military personnel who actively participated in the Olympics, including Junior Sergeant Navbakhor Khamidov and privates Ziyodakhon Abdusattorov and Amirhan Sadikov.
