Azerbaijani ATV channel airs a program about Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Azerbaijan’s ATV TV channel broadcasted a program dedicated to the customs, traditions, cuisine, and tourist attractions of Uzbekistan, Dunyo reported.

The TV show, filmed with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, was attended by family members of employees of overseas institutions.

It was broadcast as part of the ATV Sahar cognitive-entertainment program under the heading MilliMən (Milliy Men), which is broadcast once a week with several repetitions, and after that it is posted on the website and YouTube channel.

The plot begins with an introduction to the history, original culture and art of the Uzbek people. Demonstrating to the audience various types of national clothes, fabrics, souvenirs and decorative dishes, the presenters together with the participants of the program talk about the origin and purpose of each of the exhibits.

The section devoted to national traditions that remain an integral part of the culture and customs of the Uzbek people turned out to be interesting. By the example of the tea ceremony, the filmmakers pay special attention to the manifestation of hospitality, respect and care for guests, careful attitude to the preservation and enhancement of national customs.

The TV show also reveals the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. Telling about ancient and world-famous cities - Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva - the leading television channels urge their audience to visit the republic and personally see historical monuments, masterpieces of human civilization, Muslim shrines.

Considering the wishes of regular viewers and gourmets, the creative group of the ATV television channel included an episode dedicated to Uzbek cuisine in the film. In it, the audience clearly demonstrated the process of preparing pilaf, as well as explanations about the methods of preparing the Uzbek patyr, Katlama, samsa and chak-chak.
