Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of a visit to the city of Baku by a delegation of the State Unitary Enterprise Republican Telecommunications Network Control Center of Uzbekistan (RCUSTUz), under the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan, a memorandum was signed with AzInTelecom LLC, operating under the Ministry of Digital development and transport of Azerbaijan, Dunyo news agency reports.

The memorandum envisages the organization of joint activities in the field of registration of mobile devices.

A delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the State Unitary Enterprise "Republican Telecommunications Network Control Center of Uzbekistan, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Center for Information Technologies" visited AzInTelecom LLC.

At the meeting, information was provided on the measures taken by AzInTelecom LLC in Azerbaijan in relation to mobile devices registered with copied IMEI codes. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in this area, the creation of a single "black list" of lost and stolen IMEI codes, the exchange of experience and information.

As a result of the meeting, in addition to signing a memorandum on the organization of joint activities in the field of registration of mobile devices, it was decided to create an appropriate working group.
