Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 June 2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel jointly with the municipality of Maale Adumim organized a ceremony of awarding gold medal to the winner of the VII International Biennale of Children’s Drawings “Joy of Tashkent” 14-year-old Yaalat Chen Levy, as well as commemorative certificates to other participants of the competition.

The event was attended by the mayor of Beni Kashriel, who expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for the active promotion of public diplomacy in bilateral relations.

According to the mayor, support for children’s artistic creativity is not just another area of Uzbek-Israeli cooperation. Creating opportunities for children to communicate with their foreign peers primarily contributes to the harmonious education of youth in the spirit of tolerance, the further development of intercultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and Israel, which are united by long-standing cultural and historical ties.
