Asman Airlines to Launch Tashkent–Issyk-Kul Flights

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kyrgyz airline Asman Airlines is planning to launch regular air service between Tashkent and the Issyk-Kul resort region, according to discussions held on 15 May between the carrier’s representatives and the management of Uzbekistan Airports JSC.

According to the parties following the talks, the first stage of cooperation will involve the launch of a passenger flight on the Tashkent–Tamchy route. The start of operations is preliminarily scheduled for 24 June 2026. The flights are expected to be operated using Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft.

The meeting also addressed plans to further expand the route network between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Asman Airlines said it intends to launch flights between Tashkent and Osh by autumn, and to open the Tashkent–Karakol route during the winter season.

In addition, the parties are considering the possibility of establishing regular air links between the capitals of the two countries, Tashkent and Bishkek.

Special attention was given to the development of regional air transport. In particular, the prospects of launching international flights from Kyrgyzstan to the airports of Andijan, Fergana, and Namangan were discussed.

Asman Airlines is a state-owned airline of Kyrgyzstan and operates under OJSC Airports of Kyrgyzstan.

The carrier operates Dash 8 Q400 aircraft and currently serves both domestic routes and selected international destinations, including Almaty and Khujand.
