Asaka Bank and Korea Eximbank sign credit agreement for US$160m
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Joint stock commercial Asaka and Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) signed an agreement on providing a credit line for US$160 million.

According to Asaka Bank, President of Korea Export-Import Bank (Eximbank) of South Korea Lee Duk-Hoon visited headquarters of Asaka Bank on 23 September 2015.

Within the visit, Bank and Korea Eximbank signed the agreement on providing a credit line for US$160 million.

The credit line will be directed to supporting and developing trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea. In particular, the resources will be used to realize operations in automobile industry in Uzbekistan.

Korea Eximbank is one of key partners of Uzbekistan in Asian-Pacific region and finances strategic projects in Uzbekistan. Since 1999, the bank participated in implementation of projects for US$935 million. Since 2012, the bank participates in implementation of projects for US$1.2 billion. The sides are also developing new projects for about US$900 million.
