ARTON begins construction of autoclaved aerated concrete plant

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Construction has begun on a new plant for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete in the Andijan region, according to the Uzstroymaterialy Association.

The project is being implemented as part of the "Industrial Mortgage" program and is a joint initiative of the ARTON company, the Andijan regional administration (khokimiyat), the Uzstroymaterialy Association, and Uzpromstroybank.

Autoclaved aerated concrete, a key material in modern construction, helps reduce costs and increase the speed and quality of construction. It also has energy-saving properties, allowing it to retain heat in winter and keep cool in summer, which can reduce electricity costs by up to 20%.

The planned production capacity of the new plant is 500,000 cubic meters of product per year. Its strategic location will ensure supplies not only to the domestic market but also exports to countries such as Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

As part of the "Industrial Mortgage" program, Uzpromstroybank has provided a loan for up to 10 years with a three-year grace period. This funding will allow the installation of modern energy-efficient equipment from the German company Wehrhahn GmbH.

The total investment in the project amounts to US$20 million. The plant’s launch will create over 200 jobs for local residents.

The production will rely almost exclusively on local raw materials, including quartz sand, lime, gypsum, and cement, which highlights the sustainability and autonomy of the project.

With state-of-the-art equipment and innovative technologies, the new plant in Andijan will become one of the most modern enterprises in the region, meeting global standards.
