Artel starts to produce LCD TV sets
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
White Machine Technology JV LLC launched a production of TV-sets ARTLCD with liquid-crystalline displays under Artel trademark in Tashkent. The project cost is US$4.5 million.
The capacity of the production line is 100,000 TV-sets a year. This year, the venture will produce 50,000 TV-sets.
The localization level of production is about 25% and soon it will reach 40-45%.
White Machine Technology started to implement the project in 2011 and made contacts with Samsung and LG.
The company currently will produce two types of LCD TV sets with Samsung and LG displays with diagonal of 32 and 42 inches. In future, it is planned to produce LED TV sets and models with display with diagonal of up to 47 inches, with SMART TV and 3D functions.
