Armenian, Uzbek defense officials hold meeting in Termez

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Oganyan held a meeting with the Deputy Defense Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Normatov in Termez Airport on 26 July on his return to Armenia from Afghanistan, Armenian Defense Ministry said.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current situation of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and opportunities for their development.

Termez Airport serves as transit point on transportation of Armenian military groups from Germany to Kunduz (Afghanistan). Armenian official expressed gratitude to the Uzbek Deputy Minister for warm relations to Armenian peacekeepers.
