New iPhone 6 is equipped with 4.7 inch display, while iPhone 6 Plus will have 5.5 inch display. The resolution of display of iPhone 6 is 1334х750 and iPhone 6 Plus –1920х1080. Displays of both models produced based on Retina HD technology.

Apple’s senior vice president of marketing Phil Schiller said that thickness of iPhone 6 is 6.9mm and iPhone 6 Plus – 7.1 mm. The smartphones will have more powerful batteries compared to previous models.

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have 64-bit desktop-class architecture with all-new A8 chip, as well as 1 Gb RAM. Both models include the M8 motion coprocessor that gathers motion data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and the new barometer, which senses air pressure to provide relative elevation. The body of new iPhone 6 smartphones is made from anodic aluminium and logotype in back panel – from steel.

The productivity of iPhone 6 is higher by 20% compared to 5S. The camera of the smartphones was also improved. The devices have 8 megapixel cameras with True Tone flash. The front cameras were also improved.

Both models include iOS 8, the latest version of mobile operating system, featuring a simpler, faster and more intuitive user experience with new Messages and Photos features, QuickType™ keyboard, a new Health app, Family Sharing and iCloud Drive℠.

Apple will offer smartphones with 16 Gb, 64 Gb and 128 Gb memory. The smartphones will have Apple Pay payment system, which will allow to make payments with help of devices.

The iPhone 6 costs $199 to $399 with a two-year contract, while the 6 Plus is priced at $299 to $499. The devices -- which will come in silver, gold and space gray -- will be available for pre-order on Sept. 12 and ship on 19 September, the company said.

Apple also presented its new product Watch. Apple Watch has newly designed software that works with a dial on its side. The touch-screen device comes in two sizes, as well as in classic, sports and gold edition models.

It can be used to detect pulse rate and has other health-tracking apps, such as letting a user monitor calories burned along with how long he or she has been seated. Goals can be set and milestones rewarded as well. The watch also includes apps for maps, photos, music and messages, the company said.

When the watch becomes available next year, it will only be on offer in the U.S., Apple said. An iPhone is required for Apple Watch to work.
