Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Anvar Urmanov has been appointed Acting Prosecutor of the city of Tashkent, according to a statement from the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan.

Prior to this appointment, Urmanov served as First Deputy Prosecutor of the capital and previously headed the prosecutor’s offices of Tashkent’s Shaykhantakhur and Sergeli districts.

His predecessor, Erkin Yuldashev, was recently appointed Head of the Compliance Service under the Presidential Administration.
