Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed a new UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan.
Sabine Mahl (Austria) has been appointed as the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan.
Sabine Mahl commenced her duties as the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan on 1 June 2024.
Prior to this appointment, she served as the UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia from 2019 to 2024.
Sabina Mahl brings over 22 years of experience working in international organizations. She has led UN Women offices in Indonesia, Palestine, and Kyrgyzstan, and has also been responsible for cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
