Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage launched the second stage of the plein-air exhibition under the motto "The Spirit of Samarkand in the canvases of artists of the SCO countries".
The plein air was organized in accordance with the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan to hold a high-level summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
On 8 August, 28 talented artists from Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and other countries arrived in Samarkand. First, the masters of brushes will get acquainted with the sights of Kokand, Margelan, Rishtan, Samarkand and Shakhrisabz.
Until 18 August, the artists will work in historical monuments and in the workshop of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The main goal of the plein air participants is to reflect the material and spiritual culture of the Uzbek people in their works. Our friendly creative team is proud of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
