Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An online video conference was held between the Central Bank and experts of the World Bank to discuss the work carried out in the field of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism (AML / CFT).
During the meeting, it was noted that the Central Bank carried out a national assessment of the banking sector. It was also noted that the Central Bank has updated the existing methodology of risk-based supervision and will further develop it.
The World Bank has supported the activities carried out by the Central Bank in this area. The parties agreed to provide the World Bank with technical assistance on the methodology for assessing the gradation of the degree of violations in the field of AML / CFT, as well as further elaboration of supervision over payment system operators, e-money issuers and non-bank credit organizations.
