An information system to be introduced in Uzbekistan to provide people with special needs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the initiative of the Ministry of Innovation Development, the Presidential Decree “On additional measures for social support of people with hearing and speaking problems” was adopted.

According to the document, from 1 July 2019, a dispatching service for the social support of persons with hearing and speech problems will be created within the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The main task of the Dispatching Service is to provide a coordinated accelerated response of emergency operational services (101, 102, 103, 104, 1050) when receiving calls from people with hearing and speech problems, as well as their representatives using technical means (video calls, text messages, calls with using special software, etc.).

An electronic database of personal data of persons with hearing and speech problems will also be created in accordance with the regulations

The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, together with the Ministry of Innovation Development, the Ministry of Interior Affairs and other interested departments, will implement an information system in the period till 1 July 2019, which envisages interaction of people with hearing and speech problems with emergency services, taking into account the provision of services for free basis, including when using mobile services.
