Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 2 June, the exhibition “Cultural attractions of the Islamic world” started in Khiva.
Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri, General Director of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Salim al-Malik, Khiva khokim Temur Davletov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev got acquainted with the exhibition of paintings presented as part of international events in connection with the declaration of Khiva as a tourist city of the Islamic world.
It displays paintings depicting sacred sites of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Here the visitors can see a total of 60 paintings, each of which depicts special and significant shrines for the Islamic world.
The exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural and spiritual heritage of various Islamic countries, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of their religious traditions and history.
The paintings were made by artists from member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
