Almost One Million Uzbeks Checked Their Credit History in First Half of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first half of 2025, nearly one million citizens used the service to check their credit history.
According to the Credit Information and Analytical Center, from January to June, 957,402 people requested credit reports — almost 2.4 times more than in the same period of 2024, when 400,950 requests were recorded.
The majority of requests came from individuals. The most active users were citizens aged 26–35, accounting for 41% of the total (388,456 people), followed by those aged 36–45 (23% or 222,247 people), 16–25 (22% or 205,009 people), 46–55 (9% or 88,093 people), and over 56 (5% or 44,940 people). This indicates that the credit market is most active among younger consumers.
In terms of frequency, 63% of citizens checked their credit history only once, 23% — twice, 6% — three times, 2% — four times, and 6% — five or more times. Among all users, 69% were men and 31% were women.
An analysis of credit scores revealed that only 5% of clients have an excellent credit history, 28% — good, 55% — average, and around 1% received a “poor” rating.
By region, Tashkent led in the number of requests, accounting for 19.4% of the total. Tashkent region ranked second with 11.9%, followed by Samarkand region with 8.3%.
