Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2023, 198,900 tons of fish were caught in Uzbekistan, the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan said.
Compared to 2022, this figure grew by 7.3%.
The largest volume of fish was caught in Khorezm (30,900 tons), Tashkent (27,100 tons) and Andijan (21,700 tons) regions.
The share of Khorezm region in the total catch amounted to 15.6%.
The lowest catch rates were recorded in Kashkadarya (5,000 tons), Surkhandarya (6,900 tons) and Syrdarya (9,100 tons) regions.
