The event is co-organized by the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), UN Development Programme (UNDP), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and International Labour Organization.

During two-days, ministers of labour and social welfare from the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia will exchange experience on fighting financial-economic crisis and analyze ways of mitigating consequences of economic shock for social sphere.

The officials will consider measures on decreasing unemployment level and meeting needs of the most vulnerable layers of populations, as well as combating food crisis.
