Alexander Viner art-exhibition opens in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 May art-exhibition of works by the famous painter, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Alexander Viner (1922-1992) opened in Tashkent at the Memorial Park Museum of Kamoliddin Behzod.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was visited by the artist’s daughter, President of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner-Usmanova: "I don’t know a man who would have loved the people of Uzbekistan more than my father. He has always lived with the people, he painted all of his characters from life: shepherds, villagers, milkmaids and cotton growers, the beautiful women and the elderly... He taught me and everyone around him to love the native nature and the people of the Uzbek land".

The life and work of Alexander Viner, a renowned master of the portrait genre, is inextricably linked with Uzbekistan, its history and culture. As the coordinator of the exhibition painter Alisher Nasritdinov commented, "while preparing the exposition from the works of museum collections of Uzbekistan, part of the paintings were carefully restored and were first-time exhibited for wide public as unique pearls of the rich artistic heritage of the country".
