Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The World Weightlifting Championship is ending in Pattaya (Thailand). A little earlier, in the weight category of 109 kilograms, our compatriot Akbar Juraev was awarded the silver of the World Championship.

Although Juraev in the jerk exercise became the sixth (188 kilograms), in the clean and jerk he achieved a significant result, winning silver. He managed to raise 229 kilograms. But unfortunately, these indicators did not make it possible to break into the series of winners in biathlon. Thus, Juraev was awarded fourth place with a result of 417 kilograms.
