Ajinomoto Explores Opportunities to Establish Production in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 September, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with representatives of Japan’s leading corporation Ajinomoto, including Senior Vice President and Executive Director Masai Yoshiteru.

The discussions focused on Ajinomoto’s potential entry into the Uzbek market, as well as the organization of production and distribution of high-quality food additives in the country.

Following the meeting, both parties emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation with the corporation for the development and increased localization of Uzbekistan’s food industry. They also agreed on further practical steps to implement joint project initiatives.

Founded in 1909 and headquartered in Tokyo, Ajinomoto is a major international company operating in the production of food products, food additives, chemical goods, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.

The corporation comprises more than 65 enterprises, with total assets of US$9.6 billion and annual turnover reaching US$10 billion. Ajinomoto employs 33,400 people worldwide.
