Ahbor-Reyting raises credit rating of Uzbek-Turkish Bank
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ahbor-Reyting, a rating agency of Uzbekistan, raised credit rating of Uzbek-Turkish Bank up to uzB++ in line with the national scaled. The outlook is stable.

The uzB++ reflects adequate level of solvency of the Uzbek-Turkish Bank. The bank with uzB++ rating has high abilty to execute its financial liabilities timely and fully compared with other banks, which have lower credit ratings.

The credit rating of the Uzbek-Turkish Bank reflects positive reputation and favourable image of the bank, sustainable position in the corporate services market, high quality of assets and good level of risk management, wide access to external borrowings, balanced liquid position and adequate capitalization. The rating also takes into account high concentration of Uzbek-Turkish Bank’s business in Tashkent region and sensitiveness to money flows from external financial markets.

In the result of monitoring, Ahbor-Reyting underlined that Uzbek-Turkish Bank demonstrate positive financial results and stable expansion of business scale in 2010. At the same time, quality of income sources of the bank rated as good. Besides, the Uzbek-Turkish Bank successfully manages credit risks and quality of assets of the bank rates as high.

In 2010, over 92.5% of loans of the bank were rated as good (according to report of the bank in line with international accounting standards). At the same time, bad debts, but not defaulted loans, in 2010 made up 0.5% of loan portfolio.

Liquid position of the bank considered as balances in the reporting period. Ahbor-Reyting notes certain exposure of money flows of the bank to various external financial market factors. Funding base of the bank rated as short-term. Opportunities of the Uzbek-Turkish Bank on funding are rated higher compared to majority of banks, forming of more diversified funding base (including deposits) in future can be key rating factor.

Capitalization of the Uzbek-Turkish Bank rated as adequate. At the same time, Ahbor-Reyting believes that in near future, the bank’s capitalization will be in adequate level. In the reporting period, business scale of the Uzbek-Turkish Bank grew in stable tempo, which allowed the bank to keep its market position in stable level.

In the result, the bank’s market share in total assets volume of the banking sector made up 0.7%, share in equity capital – 0.68%, in investments – 0.59%, and deposits – 0.2%. In future, Ahbor-Reyting believes that expansion of business scale of the Uzbek-Turkish Bank should continue to strengthen.
